The rainy season begins in June and lasts until mid-October. The rainy season generally brings rainfall about 3 or 4 times per week, with a heavy (very heavy!) rainfall coming in around once every 10 days or so. However, don't let the rainy season discourage you, as this is when San Miguel de Allende is at its most beautiful. By August, the desert has transformed itself, and where there were only cactus and thorn bushes in April, a carpet of lush grass and wildflowers are growing.
